Research conducted in America, which shows that every third generation Z identifies as a member of the LGBT+ community, was the reason for the writer Minja Marđonović, the former director of “Belgrade Pride” Marko Mihajlović and the famous conspiracy theorist Saša Borojević to speak on this topic in the morning program of TV Prva. The research was conducted on a sample of 6,000 young people across the country, and it showed that 28% of adults from Generation Z identify as members of the LGBT+ community.

During his guest appearance, Saša Borojević made a series of false allegations about the fact that children in America are being raised to be members of the LGBT+ community and that they will receive financial benefits for this.

Although the topic was research conducted in America, Borojević cited hard-to-verify data on “LGBT” propaganda in the Serbian educational program. “Someone inserted a new normality into our curriculum.” In Serbia today, Hasanaginica is a victim of domestic violence; we have a classbook in the 6th grade where a mother kisses her friend, and the abusers are men. In the eight school subjects, information is magically passed on where children are being raised to become gay,” Borojević said.

During his guest appearance, Saša Borojević made a series of false allegations about the fact that children in America are being raised to be members of the LGBT+ community and that they will receive financial benefits for this. After that, Borojević began to read the alleged names of convicted rapists who are members of the LGBT+ population, citing research by the Kinsey Institute from the era of Nazi Germany.

The LGBT+ community is a regular topic in the oeuvre of this conspiracy theorist, who only at the end of last year became a frequent guest on television with a national frequency. In November, he was also a guest with the Prime Minister of Serbia on the show Hit Tweet. Apart from the claim that children are raised to be gay for financial gain, as Istinomer previously wrote, Borojević claims that the right to freedom of religion will be “buried” because of the rights of the LGBT+ community.

His regular claim, which he repeated during his guest appearance on TV Prva’s Jutarnji program, is that the “LGBT agenda” leads to the legalization of paedophilia.

“Until now, I did not declare the LGBT population as a disease until I received that there is a code under which they are managed as a disorder. And in that disorder, you now have a situation where it suddenly becomes normal. A disorder cannot be normal, but it must be respected; you should have respect for them because it is a disorder, and you look at it as someone afraid of help,” Borojević said in September 2022.

More than 30 years have passed since the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the list of psychological disorders and declared that being gay is not something that can be cured. Regardless, conspiracy theorists like Borojević constantly refer to the fact that homosexuality was on the list of disorders. Stigmatization and discrimination against gay people can lead to mental health problems – but homosexuality in itself is not a mental health problem, according to the WHO.
